INTRODUCE YOURSELF . . .
My name is Faith Kaunde and other people know me as Faith Kayz (which is actually my stage name). I was born on February 10, 1995, and I am a resident of Area 36 (New Lines), Lilongwe. I go to Assemblies of God in Falls, Bethsaida temple.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME AN ARTIST?
I have always had a passion for music growing up but I never had the voice so I taught myself how to sing by watching Disney channel . . . the likes of Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus . . . I was very inspired and I remember I had a fasting for three days when I was in Grade 8 at 12 years. The purpose of the fasting was to ask for a sweet voice, thank God I can sing now. But it didn't just happen right away. I started recording when I was 19 years old. But the other reason, I was like am a born again and how can I spread the gospel? That was it . . . music!!!
WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO APART FROM MUSIC?
Apart from music, I am an entrepreneur. I go outside the country to get different commodities and engage in other businesses too.
I am also working with Miss Glam and Glory pageant, and I volunteer at Younglife Malawi, a Christian organization that introduces Jesus to adolescents in Secondary Schools, and I am so grateful to be among the leaders.
I am also a blogger. I write on several different topics at faithkayz.wordpress.com and my blog is called RANDOM THOUGHTS. You can check it out!!!
I am also a Radio personality and I host different kinds of events. I am a trained journalist from Malawi institute of Journalism.

I am an Afro pop singer but I can also do Reggae and Hip-hop.

I am saved since 2011.
WHAT'S THE TITLE OF YOUR MOST RECENT PROJECT?
My recent project is a single called Tiyambileso produced by Chizmo of Substance Music and the video was directed by VJ ICE of Visual Perfect.
WHEN ARE YOU RELEASING YOUR NEXT PROJECT?
Next year for sure! And my next project will be different from what I have done before because I am working with creative people . . . and trust me when I say creative people --- and on videos, it's always VJ Ice. I don't see myself working with no other. He is good and I trust him.
WHAT WILL IT BE CALLED?
I don't even know the name of the project. I just trust the people I am working with.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?
In the next five years I will be married and I will have done big collaborations. Locally, I dream of working with Faith Mussa. Internationally, I dream of working with Nigerian songstress ADA. In addition to that, I will have a big business and also a TALK SHOW. I don't know how this will happen but I am a dreamer.
