INTRODUCE YOURSELF . . .

My real name is Kondwani Kuseni and I was born on August 27, 1995. I'm the first born in a family of four, and I reside in Area 49, Lilongwe. In music circles, I am commonly known as Kon Kus.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME AN ARTIST?

I was born and raised in a musical family whereby every evening we could sing hymns in praises to God. I was inspired to become an artist by my mother who is also a gospel artist, Miriam Kuseni.

WHATELSE DO YOU DO APART FROM MUSIC?

Apart from music, I am a fourth year student at Pentecostal Life University studying Journalism and Mass Communication and I also do business.

WHAT OTHER GENRES ARE YOU COMFORTABLE WITH?

I do Hip-hop and Afro.


SAVED OR NOT SAVED?

I am a saved born again christian. I got born again on 14th March 2008 at Robert Blake Secondary School during a SCOM meeting. Through it all, God has been faithful.

WHAT'S THE TITLE OF YOUR MOST RECENT PROJECT?

The title of my recent project is Lift Him, a soul trap song produced by myself and recorded at IP Records by Dj Stuw.

WHEN ARE YOU RELEASING YOUR NEXT PROJECT?

My next project will be released in March next year.

WHAT WILL IT BE CALLED?

It will be called Mlekere.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?

In the next 5 years, I see myself reaching out to thousands of people mainly the youths with the gospel beyond Malawian boarders and impact them to be a people of difference in our society with good values & deeds. I also see myself owning a record label that will promote gospel music & other upcoming artists. 



ANYTHING ELSE?

After a short break in the music circles, next year I will bounce back with about 3-4 singles and also release some music videos.
