Sanctuary Music is a Blantyre based Contemporary Gospel music group. The group was formed in 2014 and currently has nine members.
In 2015 the group released their debut and only album to date. The album comprised songs that were popular like “Tikakhale Limodzi ku Moyo Osatha” and “Report” which topped many radio charts the time the album was released.
The group’s main aim is to reach out to the nation with the message of salvation and for this reason many of their songs are in vernacular and in music genres that are mainly ethno in nature or a fusion between local vibes and other Afro music types.
So far the group has seen God elevating them and they have managed to minister in many places in this nation (Malawi) with tangible evidence of people being ministered to and changed.
The group is in the process of writing and preparing for next year (2019) when they are releasing their second album. This year 2018 they released a single titled “Muli Nane” and it was very well received.
Sanctuary Music believes music has the power to communicate spiritual things and that’s the reason their music is word based, and done in a way that can be easily understood.
If they would advise any musician on anything Sanctuary Music would say "let there be a ministry in you first before you pick up the microphone. Whatever happens from the inspiration of the Spirit succeeds and has eternal impact".
The group comprises of only born again, Spirit-filled, demon-chasing Christians and many of them have preaching ministries. Half of them are married and all of them in the group are working.
Sanctuary Music cites the word of God as their main inspiration and they strongly hold that there is nothing they can do without the prompting or direction of the Holy Spirit.
